Mini Excavator Price Guide: What Affects Cost from China

Tonnage is the biggest driver

As a rule, more operating weight means a higher price. A 0.74T R06 costs less than a 1.69T R322L, and an 8.2T R82 costs more still. Choose the smallest machine that still does the job; it is usually the cheapest to buy and the cheapest to ship.

Engine and hydraulic system

Machines with standard or high-end hydraulic systems and premium engines are priced higher but hold up better in daily commercial use. Entry models use simpler components to keep the price down. If you work indoors, an electric model such as the T10 EV removes fuel costs and has a different price structure.

Attachments and configuration

Buckets, breakers, augers, cab and rubber tracks all change the final price. A bare base machine is cheaper, but a work-ready package is usually a better deal because the attachments are fitted and tested at the factory.

Shipping and customs

FOB prices from the factory are only part of the total. Sea freight, insurance and import duties depend on your destination port. Ask for a door-to-port or door-to-door quote so you can compare real landed cost, not just the sticker price.
