Choose load capacity with a safety margin

A 4-ton transporter suits farm supplies and light equipment, while 6-ton and 8-ton models handle heavier machines and bulk cargo. Plan for real payload, attachment weight, slope resistance and uneven loading rather than only the machine’s nominal rating.

Tracks and ground pressure

Wider tracks and longer contact length reduce ground pressure, which is important for mud, sand, orchard soil and wet fields. Compare track width, track length, roller count and whether the track pattern is suitable for hard or soft ground.

A lower deck improves stability and makes loading easier, while a shorter deck may reduce cargo length. Check ramp angle, deck strength, tie-down points and whether the cargo area can be customized for your equipment.

Power, drive and control

Engine power, drive axle design and brake performance affect climbing ability and safety. For regular slope work, request the grade rating and confirm parking, emergency and downhill braking performance.
